Daily Bus Status
Why Tier II Routes?
Tier II routes were formed due to unexpected medical conditions and shortages of drivers assigned to every route. The shortage has placed transportation in a challenging situation in trying to ensure students get home in a timely manner. Since this is not possible because of the driver shortage, the next best thing is to ask our current drivers if they will volunteer a second route in the afternoon. Having to create a Tier II route places a strenuous burden on the parents, the students and the transportation department. To reduce this burden, we specifically create Tier II routes for HCCMS and HCHS students only. These students are much older and better able to handle the change than little ones in elementary. We are hopeful that this is only a temporary fix for a temporary issue. Thank you for your continued patience and we wish everyone a restful summer.
